Ikinokori●Bokura (English Translation)
いきのこり●ぼくら / We the Survivors
Gaze to gaze
By the light of rainclouds
We've finally arrived
At this big old wooden house
Wasn't it scary until
We made it through the long tunnel?
We've collapsed in relief
Our soles are filthy —
Have we hurt ourselves?
It hurts a bit
But it's hard to tell
Which is my blood
Atop the great mountain
How precious is life
Curled up together
I clasp your warmth close to me
At the foot of the great mountain
Lies the land of the dead
They gaze up at us
And launch orbs of light
In my duffle bag
Are three days of clothing
And her photograph
I wonder if she's in tears
Now somewhere
I wonder if she's laughing
They push a fresh corpse
Down the ravine
The birds waste no time
Attacking it with its beaks
Carrying it skyward
Just an everyday scene
This is life from now on
We'd better get used to it
We, the survivors
