Graduating Life
Death & Taxes
"God's not real," I said
Jeez, aren't I such an edgy kid
That I'd rather live in a world with no satisfying end (she said)
I just want to see you when
I finally die and go to heaven
But I don't think that place could exist
Though I know it hurts
And thinking about it makes it worse
I'd like to think we all go on after we die
I'll take my dog, my mom, my girlfriend and friends
That I've lost along the years as I got old and neared my end
I'll take songs, LPs, my favorite CDs
And all of the things that held me together as I lost all of them
If you hear me I'm coming
Save a spot up there for me
I want in if it's real
But it don't seem real so, please
Stop killing my friends and my family
I need them so fuck you don't you test me
I'll take my mom, my dog, my girlfriend and friends
That I've lost along the years as I got old and neared my end
I'll take songs, LPs, my favorite CDs
And all the things that held me together as I lost all of them
