Seahaven
I Don’t Belong Here
There’s a beast lying low in the weeds
There's a promise that I’d like to keep
Inching closer with eyes set on me
There’s a halo of hurt around my head
Keeps my chin pinned real deep in my chest
Beneath a large woven web when I rest
With far too much dread for some feathers to catch
I don’t belong here was all that I said
Spiraling downward, I was out of my head
I’d never hurt you if left with a choice
But something’s been aching for most of my life
There’s a wholе lot I’ve buried below
You only know what I want you to know
Mostly I usе you to lessen the load
All I do is take
I don’t belong here was all that I said
Spiraling downward, I was out of my head
I’d never hurt you if left with a choice
But something’s been aching for most of my life
Sleeping in a coffin
Trying to get to heaven
Drown in holy water
Again and again
Dwindled little spirit
Narrowed down to nothing
Just above the surface
Just as the tide’s rolling in
