pantherr: Before we get this started, do you call it soda, pop, or coke?

justloveJB: well, i lived further north for 8 1/2 years, so i should say pop (my mom gets mad at me when i don't lol) but i actually say soda. i guess it's just like "y'all" and i caught it from living further south??

pantherr: yeah, I call it both. Now, you wanna get this started?

justloveJB: of course!

pantherr: Alright, what made you start Genius?

justloveJB: i think i made an account so i could correct some of Fran Vasilic's songs and stuff. sadly, i don't remember thе date that i joined.

pantherr: ok👍🏾. I joinеd really like 3 years ago but I forgot the password to all of those accounts, and how I figured out about Genius is my brothers have always been on it.
Next Question: who is your fav artist besides JB?

justloveJB: dang you got me there... hmm... well, i listen to a bunch of different artists, so i'm stuck between either Thomas Day, Sabrina Carpenter, Good Kid, or Indila. i'd go with Thomas Day, which, fun fact, i'm listening to "Softly" by him on loop rn haha

pantherr: ok, cool. What is your favorite transcription?

justloveJB: of mine? i would say probably any of the HSMTMTS or Thomas Day songs. btw, i transcribed "Paper Cup" by him and now it has 3.1k views 😭
pantherr: 👍🏾! Do you listen to rap music/do you listen to explicit music? Or is it not yo' thing?

justloveJB: [forgets how a keyboard works] i don't listen to rap, i don't really like or care for it. as for explicit music, occasionally because that's just how songs work lol

pantherr: *my fav genre as rap😭* ok! Who is someone that inspired you to make music/when do you wanna make music?

i have always loved music and i've honestly been writing songs since i was able to say words lol
a huge motivation for me is hopefully getting to share my music, officially produced and signed to a label, with the world. (technically, if my parents would let me, i could do that) also, Joshua Bassett 🩵🩵🩵

pantherr: For the label thing I could sign you, I'm making a label. Back to the thing, what's your fav genre and who's a good person to listen to if you're listening to the genre for the 1st time?

justloveJB: hmm... i listen to so much stuff but it's probably pop. since i listen to a LOT of different random stuff, i have 3:
indie/indie rock/indie pop - Good Kid
french - Indila
j-pop/japanese - YOASOBI or DECO*27

pantherr: For me it's rap, I recommend "IGOR" by Tyler, The Creator. Question: who's someone that has helped you in your genius career?

justloveJB: that is such a good question i don't even know 😭
probably my besties, Im_Just_Lace who sadly will not be on that account anymore and Lizasourasrex (yes, she spelled it wrong, but it's fine). also you, thousandeyes, kyukyukyujinyang, and captainsnickers.

pantherr: Solid. If you would want to get signed to any label, what label are you choosing?

justloveJB: maybe Warner Records (joshua bassett's label) or maybe Arista Records (thomas day's label)??
pantherr: good opinion. I'm making my own but if I couldn't I'd be independent or sign to interscope. Any questions for me?

justloveJB: hmm... not really, but what's your favorite lyric from any song?
