Jackson Browne

[Intro]
Thank you, thanks
Okay
See, I can't hear, I can't hear as well as I should be able
'Cause it's very echoey in here, you know
I'm not gonna tell you what I thought you said, it's like
Ah, shit, nah
It's too, there are too many guitars
And they're, they all feel different and, and while I love them all so much
I saw this Willie Nelson thing last night
And he's been playing the same guitar for like, fifty years or something
Worn a hole in the front of it
He never makes any mistakes, man
It's just, it's just all where he wants it to be right there
Had a really bizarre conversation with a guy in a guitar repair shop
And he's uh, he was wearing, like, Hare Krishna robes
And he's an Italian guy, you know, an Italian Hare Krishna guy
And he had a guitar being built by my friend that had three necks
You know? Three necks!
It was pretty strange-looking, and he played really well too, you know
And uh, but at one point he looked at me with a sort of
A kind of accusatory look, like, "How many guitars do you have, man?"
I said, "Well, I, you know—I don't know. A lot"
And they're, you know
Like I'm always getting rid of some and getting some more, you know
Just always looking for something, and I said
And he'd made this, this elaborate metaphor about how the guitar
You know, it's like a woman, a guitar is like a woman, you know
And like, and when you find the right one you'll only need one, you know
"With three necks," I told him
